It’s taken a lot of work but we finally did it! TunkAlive.com has received more than just a facelift – take a look at a few of the new features here at TunkAlive.com.
Post Something:
Do you have a local business, band, group or organization? Now you can post content directly to TunkAlive.com using the “Post Something” button at the top of our website. Your submission will then be reviewed briefly for approval and submitted on our website for all to see. Some posts will even get posted on our popular facebook page. This means easy submitting of content for business and groups, and more content for readers.
Facebook has made some changes recently which now make it more difficult for our fans to post their events directly to our Facebook page. Additionally, when folks would post their events the only way people would see them is if they visit our page directly – those posts do not show in our fans main page feed on Facebook. Now that you can submit here on our website we will be able to repost for you directly to our facebook, as well as giving you an area on our website for your event or article.
More than anything though, we wanted to make sure that Tunkhannock could themselves contribute to the website that’s all about them – TunkAlive.com! Posting is quick, easy and a great way to get the word out to Tunkhannock.
Facebook Integration:
Another change we’ve made is the ability to link your facebook account to TunkAlive.com. What this means is when you comment on an article, or want to share an article on facebook, even just “Like” an article on TunkAlive.com it requires no additional log in. Simply use the “Connect with Facebook” feature on our website and you’re good to go. You will be prompted to give the TunkAlive.com Facebook application permission to access your account (don’t worry, we won’t be using your information or displaying anything other than your name and photo when you comment). You’ve probably seen this before if you’ve ever used applications on Facebook. It’s completely safe to grant access and if you don’t like it for any reason you can revoke access at any time.
Better Local Advertising:
For businesses, organizations or others who are planning large events we’ve got you covered. We are now offering featured pages to anyone looking to get an extra advertising push for their event.
